PAULUHN DEBUTS NEW LOGO

Redesigned logo reinforces tie with Federal Signal to strengthen and clarify brand identity

Pearland, TX, August 24, 2007— Pauluhn announces new logo design, combining the Pauluhn name with Federal Signal’s internationally recognized “FS” symbol. The revamped visual trademark will strengthen and clarify Pauluhn’s brand identity with its parent company of 10 years. A leader in marine, drilling and industrial lighting, Pauluhn is an integral part of Federal Signal’s Safety and Security Systems Group.

The new logo will also serve as a platform to launch a streamlined market identity of NRL Lighting Products under the Pauluhn brand. NRL Lighting Products, in 1999 acquired by Federal Signal and absorbed by Pauluhn, will continue operations in Nisku, Alberta as part of Pauluhn.

“In the past, the Pauluhn and NRL names were oftentimes presented side-by-side in our marketing efforts,” says Pauluhn’s Will Bullock, general manager. “While successful, we’ve concluded that a single brand strategy is best suited for where we want to take the company. By bringing both organizations under a single umbrella, we can strengthen our marketing message and eliminate any brand confusion that might exist among our customers and channel partners.”

Explaining that Pauluhn will be undertaking a series of measures aimed at the dissolution of the NRL brand, Bullock emphasized that the change is in name only. “Other than eliminating the brand name, this move has no effect on production and customer service operations in Nisku, Alberta. The Nisku operation is the key component of our strategy to provide the Canadian market with local, in-country service and technical support.”

A unified product catalog and website are anticipated by the first quarter of 2008, with the products currently manufactured under the NRL name consolidated into the Pauluhn portfolio. All major product lines will remain in place.
